Hey all! I'm excited to share with you a Brandy Melville haul today. I purchased these when I was shopping around at Forever 21. Whenever I'm in Waikiki, I usually make a stop at Brandy just because it's such a hassle to go to Waikiki just for that store. So if there's still ample time left in the parking meter, I make a quick stop. This time around, I came out of the store with a few purchases that I couldn't resist. Here they are:
Brown Autumn Floral Crop Top: For $10, I could not NOT get it! I think it's the best crop top to transition into autumn. It has this almost velour look to it, but it's just plain, stretch t-shirt material. I actually really like the roses in this muted brown tone. I tend to have a hard time coordinating my outfits with this color, but as I said, for the price I can't go wrong.
Sunflower Skater Skirt: I finally got my hands on another skater skirt. I literally only had my plain black one from Topshop. This was $30 so the price is comparable to Topshop. I love the tiny sunflower pattern and what really sold me was how freaking soft the fabric of this skirt is. You literally want to wear it all day everyday, no joke! With the skater skirt style, it is bound to flatter any girl's figure.
Sunflower Skater Dress: Yes this is the same pattern from the previous item. I really only wanted to buy one, but I had such the hardest time trying to decided that I just thought f*** it, let's buy them both. The fabric is different; it's not that soft, plushy feeling as the skirt. It has a more lycra-esque feel to it. Because the dress is quite skater skirt-like, it fits like a glove, like it was meant for my body. To be honest, I rarely wear dresses and for me to want this is a rarity in itself. The fit was so amazing that I had to get it. This was also $30 and that's not bad for a dress that fits amazingly. So you can see why I was so torn about only getting the skirt or the dress, but I'm glad I got both!
Gold Heart Ring: Another rarity: a ring that fits decently on my finger. I love dainty rings like this and this actually fit not too badly on my pointer finger and my middle finger. It was only $4 too! I love to combine this with my other gold rings for extra oomph. I'm glad that gold jewelry is quite trendy because I think this complements my skin tone better than silver jewelry.
And that's it for this haul! I'm hoping that Brandy has a pretty good Black Friday sale. They usually have 30% off the entire store. I'd rather do the online sale for Cyber Monday, but we'll see!

TSD The Weekend After SF Edition: Forever 21, GUESS, Brandy Melville
Hello all!
I'm pretty proud of myself for popping out these posts pretty quickly hehe! So this post will be about my little shopping extravaganza the weekend after coming back from San Fran. I don't know if it was because I restrained myself in SF or what, but I ended up getting more things when I came back. I think my purchases were somewhat warranted since I was on the lookout for more crop tops...yeah lol. Anyways, let's get on with the haul!
BOSS Logo Crop Top: I was immediately drawn to this because of the logo print. Who doesn't want a top that says you're the boss! I do dig the block logo print and I think cuffed sleeves on t-shirts are super chic at the moment. This was $12.80.
Metallic Claw Necklace: I wanted to pick out a cool accessory that wasn't so boho-like since I tend to gravitate towards that. I thought the claw-like pendant was really funky and chic. I like the two-tone metal and this goes great with a lot of monochromatic coordinates, as seen above!
Military Studded Vest: I had actually tried this same vest in San Fran and for some reason I wasn't really feeling it, but I ended up trying it again since my GUESS had it in my size and the extra 50% off was still going on. When I tried it on this time, I still wasn't absolutely blown away, but I figured that I should just get it anyway for the great price and design.
Mr. Bunny Tee: I follow GUESS on Facebook, so the moment I saw a post about their animal print sleeveless tees, I knew I absolutely had to have this. Luckily, I saw the post the day I was going out to Ala Moana and I got it immediately. I love bunnies so anything bunny-print or bunny-themed it makes my heart go a-flutter! Also, I'm digging his little faux collar :D
Blue and White Crop Top: While I admire American Apparel's crop tops, they are $28+ depending on the style and such, so I wanted to see if I could find a cheaper option. I know that Topshop crop tops are quite reasonable and almost half the price of American Apparel's at $16. But my best deal was at Brandy Melville and their's were $15! They fit really nicely and the length is great for a crop top on my torso size.
Triangular Necklace: When I go to Brandy Melville, I always look at their accessories section because I think they have great stuff for really cheap! It's slightly painful at times because they have such cute rings and with my skinny fingers, I can't fit them :(. But, they also have cute necklaces and I found this cool 3 in 1 triangle necklace. I literally wear this necklace at least 4 times a week because it makes every outfit look so much more boho-chic!
Next post, hopefully up by tomorrow, will be my first ever purchase of LUSH and some reviews about the products!

April Favorites 2013
Hey all! It's been a while since I've posted. I just got back from a week long vacation in Vegas with my dad. I must say that I did a lot of shopping AGAIN and I'll be posting clothing hauls for each store! The weather was bearable, but it did get hotter and hotter as the days went on, but because of the dry heat, it wasn't that bad. Actually, I heard that Hawaii was quite humid that week. It was still humid when I got back though hehe.
Anyways, I thought I'd try out a new segment on my blog of monthly favorites that range from beauty and fashion to music and random other things. I know that this is a popular tag done by a lot of beauty gurus on YouTube, but because I don't post videos, I thought I'd give it a go on here. So lets begin!
they're Real! by benefit: I must say that I was never really loyal to any mascara, let alone any beauty brand, but I must say that benefit produces really good beauty products. I came across this product by watching my favorite beauty gurus and I just had to try it. I think this is one of the best mascaras I've ever tried. My eyelashes are thin and straight, so it's hard for me to make them pop. This mascara definitely lengthens and thickens without clumping due to the unique structure of the brush. It's suppose to give the impression of fake lashes, and while it doesn't wholly achieve that on my lashes, it does a great better deal than all the mascaras I've tried. For $23 at Sephora, I would definitely repurchase again!
Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm by Burt's Bees: I've been in love with fresh's lip treatments, but one stick is $20~+ and I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. Luckily, when I was at Walmart, I happen to come across Burt's Bees products and saw that they had an array of tinted lip balms for $7. I figured why not try one and went with the hibiscus version. Needless to say, I absolutely love this. I wore this everyday when I was Vegas to not only give my lips color, but to keep them moist. Definitely would repurchase again and try new shades!
Molly Coddled by butter London: Once again, I wanted to try a nail color from the Sweetie collection by butter London due to the positive raves from beauty gurus. The one that I wanted was called Fiver, which is a mint green shade (I ended up buying it online from Nordstrom), but they didn't have it at my Macy's. So I went with this pretty lilac shade. At first, I wasn't used to the color, but I quickly fell in love. The formula for the product is fantastic. If applied correctly, you can get away with just one coat, which is true but I suck at application and need a second coat to cover my mistakes :P. Also, the formula is fast drying, which I was amazed at since I thought the polish was on the thicker side. For $15, although pricey, the quality is worth it.

Fashion
Muscle T-Shirts: I'm absolutely in love with this trend. I feel like the popularity of muscle tees stem from Brandy Melville, an Italian-based brand with a very casual-boho vibe. I should also include that I'm loving everything Brandy at the moment! Wearing these type of tees requires a bralette of some sort, which I'm okay with showing. Whenever I wear this sort of top, I feel so care-free and cool. I get this "whatever" vibe lol! I'll definitely be wearing these throughout the summer as well.
Music
Stay by Rihanna: I'm not a major fan of Rihanna and her music, but something about this song just makes me keep on hitting repeat and I never get tired of listening to it on the radio. It's rare that I like EVERYTHING about songs, but honestly I love the lyrics, composition, vocals, and even the music video. I was super happy to have found the sheet music at Sam Ash in Vegas and I've been playing it multiple times a day!
Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men: I think this song is super catchy and totally the type of music that I'm listening today. If you're not familiar with the band, they're a 6-piece band from Iceland. Although I'm not totally familiar with the band, I've heard snippets and I'm probably going to order their album. I really love the vocals and composition of the song. One person who commented on YouTube said that this song is about a girl who is expressing her feelings of her parents going through a divorce or something like that. I think that's a great juxtaposition with that against such an upbeat tempo.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading! I'll try to get these out every month if possible. I really do enjoy blogging and sharing my thoughts with all of you!
Thanks for reading!

The Shopping Diaries: Brandy Melville Ala Moana
Hey all!
I can already feel myself getting lazy about upkeeping this blog, but I'll continue to do my best ^o^
Here is the next segment to my shopping extravaganza and as you can tell by the title, I'll be showing my Brandy Melville purchases!
I must say that I wasn't a fan of the store from the get-go. It took me a while to appreciate the store concept and the clothes. I remember the first time I visited, I felt like it wasn't really anything special. All I could see was the "plainess" and "basicness" of the clothes. Even after feeling that way, I always felt compelled to check out the store, which I figured meant something lol. So finally, I made a visit to the store and genuinely tried to really see what the store was about and I began to like it. Touching the fabrics, actually trying on the clothes, etc. helped to create my appreciation for the store. I began to look at the clothes and my mind started making coordinates with my current wardrobe. I saw that the simpleness made it chic instead of boring as I first thought and left a lot of room for creating many looks; whether it be 可愛い one day and カッコイイ the next time. Also, many trends that I'm currently obsessed about were available in cute patterns, such as a floral sleeveless tail top, or just in solid shades, such as an off-white tie shirt.
When I first looked up Brandy Melville on the internet, I expected it to be a brand out of California because of the beachy, casual theme that I've associated with the West Coast state, but to my surprise, this was an Italian brand! It does draw inspiration from the Cali look, but at the same time, it uses Italian textiles and styles to create this fusion of Italian casual chic. Now, enough of my blabbering about this brand and onto the purchases!

Now, enough of my blabbering about this brand and onto the purchases!
I was immediately drawn to this because of the softness of the shape and how the collar and sleeves reminded me of petals or lily pads. I'm not really into the small Peter Pan collars because I feel they are a bit too juvenile on me, but I think the other details that I mention before come out more strongly, which takes away focus from the collar.
I remember seeing this exact same style during a previous shopping trip over here, but I had already made my purchases and only noticed it when I was leaving the store. It was some sort of faded green tone color that attracted me immediately and I thought it might still be there the next time I went shopping, but they didn't have it and I was quite bummed out. So when I saw this, I decided to try this one as I am a fan of this shade of grey. I thought it looked pretty cool and because the arm holes are kind of big, I decided to just wear a black, lacy bandeau.
If I buy clothing, I usually like to leave with one accessory. I was drawn to this little teapot/teacup set. Perhaps not necessarily with these purchases above (although it would go nicely with the soft beige top!), I thought of my "tea time" t-shirt that I bought from Ank Rouge would go nicely with it!
Stay tuned for the next shopping spree segment!
Thank you for reading!
